A Little a Day

Skipping a meal is bad for weight loss. True or false? As much as skipping a meal sounds ideal in our desperation to lose weight, it is also a false conception. Studies show that skipping a meal goes against our bodies in both the health and weight aspect. We may think that we are doing our bodies justice, but in reality we are only ignoring our stomachs' cry for help when we decide to starve ourselves.

When we skip a meal, we do so with the intention of eating later. But situations like these tend to work toward the negative. After a while of getting hungry, the acid in the stomach can start to eat the lining inside the organ. If this gets too bad, it can cause Ulcers, which of course we don't want that. This can happen when we ignore our stomach's pain, which is our body's way of warning us that it needs to be treated right. There is nothing more right than feeding your stomach, just do not wait until the last minute.

Now lets take a different perspective. Other times when we decide not to eat, it is because we are waiting for another meal; this too can be dangerous. People are likely to consume more in their last meal than if they ate small consecutive meals throughout the day. Eating late creates a need for more food to be digested in late hours. "That means that whatever it is you’re eating is sitting in you while you relax rather than being burned off as you go about your day," says Craig Woods. It takes longer and it is definitely not as fast or as healthy for the body.

Interesting enough, the solution is as easy and as simple as eating small meals throughout the day. This can help to speed up your metabolism and lose weight one day at a time. It is healthy, and it allows you to eat what you want without killing yourself.

Weight Loss

Weight is a burden. Even in our daily routine, it is often something we think about. We question the clothes we wear, changing from one shirt to the next in order to hide the stomach behind fabric. We look at commercials wondering if the next diet pill is for us. We eat plate after plate wondering if our diet should be changed to include more vegetables. We switch from regular to diet and start eating low fat yogurt. Suddenly it hits us. Nothing seems to be working.

If you are trying to lose weight, the healthiest way to do it is simply to exercise. Kaylan City Life gives 50 health reasons for why exercising is beneficial to your health. People who exercise are more likely not to get sick. While the friends around you are all getting sick, you gain the privilege of having an immune system that fights for you. It relieves headaches and acts to reduce the risk of many cancerous diseases as well.

It is also the best way of getting rid of the fat on your body. Eating certain foods may help to monitor your weight levels but it will not help to tone and shape your body. As you exercise you not only lose the fat above your muscles but you get to shape your body at the same time. This leaves for a more healthy refreshed body.

So remember to exercise and eat right. It keeps the viruses away, the body looking, and everyone is happy.
